Find a source
Search (Basic) finds matching document wording using keywords. It does not use AI. Search (AI) summarizes matching passages with numbered references. Both use the same public source collection. Read the original page and its source status before acting.
Use a product name, exact HS Code, circular number, clause or short phrase. “No match” means no passage was found; it does not mean a transaction is permitted.
Check goods or an HS Code
- Open HS Code. Enter one 8-digit code, a dotted code, or a goods description. For a description, select the tariff line that matches your specification.
- Add condition, composition, intended land port, country of origin and importer details where relevant.
- Read the six checks: tariff validity, import policy, narcotics/precursors, selected land port, US/EU dual use and Customs price.
- For dual use, read the highlighted stored-list matches. “No” means no match was found in the stored lists; it is not an end-use or jurisdiction clearance. Complete the remaining due diligence separately.
- For price comparison, select IM-4 or IM-7, invoice or assessed average, currency and weight unit. USD needs an explicit exchange rate. The default ±10% band is an analytical threshold, not an official Customs tolerance.
Bulk mode checks up to 100 codes. Shared goods facts apply to every row, so use it only when those facts are appropriate for the batch.
Sources and current coverage
The revised Ministry Bangla Import Policy Order through 24 September 2026 is the policy reference. The reviewed English working translation is used for English IPO answers, with original Gazette links and separately scoped later amendments. Current import/export circular readers use FEPD-1 Circulars 30 and 26 (2026), with subsequent instructions checked where applicable.
Land-port results use a historical BLPA overview; current NBR station notifications are still required. Customs comparisons use preserved May 2026 extracted rows reconciled to the recovered original IM-4 and IM-7 PDFs. These historical averages are not current market prices. Narcotics HS crosswalks are provisional. US/EU control lists need specification, jurisdiction, end-use/end-user and later-amendment review.
Current Non-Resident Tax And Imported-Service VAT Logic
The tax workspace distinguishes import-stage AIT, non-resident withholding and imported-service VAT. Finance Act 2026 section 6 makes an actual imported service taxable at 15%, subject to the applicable statutory scope and exclusions. Confirm the service classification and current source before calculating. Input VAT credit remains conditional until the section 20(4) Treasury challan is verified and other credit conditions are met. A bank withholding calculation is separate from VAT liability.
For tax deducted from a gross bill: tax = bill × rate; remittance = bill − tax. Where the applicant bears tax on a net remittance: base = net × 100 ÷ (100 − rate). Confirm the applicable rate, treaty/exemption evidence and the payer's arrangement.
Use the current portal or cached website
The standalone HTML download is not available in this release. Open the current portal for policy search, tariff and goods checks. AI summaries, login, shared records and live updates need the deployed site. Original documents and connected tools open from the live site.
The installed website also caches its core files. Connect regularly to obtain a new release; a saved copy cannot detect later regulatory changes.
Add a document
Upload the original to the Trade Drive folder, then tell us to check the folder. Processing includes comparison by file hash, readable text extraction or OCR, page references, source dates/status, search checks and a release to this project. Uploading to Drive alone does not update the website.
Admin login protects live document administration. Static release sources are maintained in the website source folder; private or archived uploads are excluded from public search.
