Interpretation before use
All values below are 2025 U.S. annual historical estimates from USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026, not October 2026 prices. Their source publication is the 2026 report; 2025-12-31 is a reporting-period end, not a day on which a commodity was quoted. They cannot establish a competitive PI/LC import price in Bangladesh without contemporaneous like-for-like evidence, product specifications, exporter origin, quantities, Incoterms, freight, insurance and date alignment.
Do not substitute U.S. domestic mine/mill values for a landed Chattogram CIF amount, or aggregate U.S. import values for exact commercial supplier quotations. Original USGS publications: Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026 and official USGS underlying data release.

Additional published price references for previously requested imports
Illustrative original-source records from August–October 2026 are incorporated into the Commodity Intelligence searchable price table; 20 distinct date/basis/region observations cover nine requested product groups. Figures below are selected references, not live quotes or Bangladesh CIF. Different concentration, coating, purity, cement substitution or customs regime requires a separate comparison.
| Product | Published amount | Basis and observation period | Publisher |

Clinker and packaging paper: separately comparable price references
Cement clinker, September 2026: a multi-origin seller reference ranges from USD 32–45/MT for bulk clinker with C3S 55–65%. The original page mentions FOB and CFR, so this range is not one homogeneous FOB quote. Open clinker seller reference.
Kraft packaging paper, September 2026: the Indian domestic regional survey reports INR 38/kg (West) and INR 42/kg (East). Grade/BF/GSM and currency/basis must match, and these are not USD export quotations. Open India paper market survey.
Additional chemical and polymer price observations
23 dated August 2026 observations cover 12 additional product groups: methanol, acetic acid, ethylene glycol, purified terephthalic acid (PTA), PET resin, sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid, caustic soda, soda ash dense, diethylene glycol, toluene and ethylene. These are separately searchable by goods name in the price desk, with original publisher URLs. Regional FOB, CFR, CIF, domestic prices, resin grades and chemical concentrations must never be mixed as if identical.
For example, dense soda ash China FOB, August 2026: USD 161/MT (publisher evidence); PET resin China FOB, August 2026: USD 1,127.25/MT (publisher evidence). Neither equals an exact importer invoice or Bangladesh CIF.
How an AD bank can check an import price
- Confirm exact PI specifications: HS8 candidate, manufacturer, grade, purity, size, packaging, origin, unit and quantity.
- Open the dated original publisher record. Record value, year/month, currency, source page, quotation basis and whether it is an estimate, benchmark, actual quotation or aggregate statistic.
- Gather contemporaneous supplier offers or corresponding comparable imports; adjust only documented freight, insurance, Incoterms, shipment timing and quality differences.
- Escalate unmatched or outdated information. Never mark a price as verified or regulatory clearance from an indicative benchmark alone.
For unprocessed blast-furnace slag, transformers, industrial bearings, industrial pumps and machinery, do not substitute another material's commodity index or any unrelated model price. Fly ash, processed GGBFS and galvanized coil have separate dated references above, but none establish a Bangladesh CIF quotation. Use the existing source directory and seek grade-/model-specific quotations or official exporter customs statistics where available; no numerical value is claimed for these goods here.
Research questions
Does the crushed-stone number represent the Bangladesh import price?
No. USD 18.50 per MT is an estimated 2025 U.S. national producer unit value, excluding Bangladesh freight and product-specific grade differences.
Is there a current Saudi/China-origin soda ash price here?
No. USD 150 per MT is the 2025 U.S. natural-source FOB mine or plant annual estimate, not a 2026 China CFR or Bangladesh CIF price.
Is cement clinker the same as finished cement?
No. The USD 160/MT annual statistic groups U.S. finished hydraulic cement. It must not be used as a cement-clinker price.
Can these values establish compliance with Bangladesh Bank price verification?
No. They are supplementary historical context. The AD must apply current effective Bangladesh Bank and customs requirements against the specific transaction and independent supporting records.
