Find published reference prices for internationally traded goods including crude oil, natural gas, maize, wheat, raw cotton, soybean oil, metals and selected industrial raw materials. Search the benchmark observations by goods description or HS code, then open the original publisher to confirm the reporting period, quoted grade, unit and location.
International market indices are not automatically equivalent to an import contract price. Check whether the published reference is spot, futures, monthly average, FOB or another basis; convert quotation units carefully; and assess freight, insurance, origin, specification and shipment date before comparing it with a Bangladesh CIF price. The import price verification worksheet supports these transaction-level adjustments.
The Bangladesh Customs lookup uses dated NBR import statements, not live supplier quotations. Use the original NBR publication directory to examine historical import statistics, and the HS Code & Goods Search to separately assess import controls.
